Carole Hubble is a figurative artist who produces work in oil and acrylic on canvas. She has exhibited her paintings regularly at the Royal Society of British Artists where she has been awarded several prizes including The Winsor and Newton Prize.
Since moving to Deal on the Kent coast she has discovered not only the different moods of the sea and sky, but also enjoys observing people relaxing by the sea side.
People are an important part of Carole's work and she has not only undertaken portrait commissions, but also thinks that people add an important aspect to the composition and overall feeling of her paintings.
Her still lives show her interest in the relationships and shapes that objects make together, their textures, and how different colours change in relationship with each other
She regularly goes back to Yorkshire and enjoys depicting the beauty and wildness of the North Yorkshire Dales with its variation of light and shade.
Artist, Carole Hubble, moved to Deal, Kent in 2004, after living in Greenwich for many years. She has a studio in her garden where she paints and exhibits her work.
