The paintings

Carole Hubble is a figurative artist who produces work in oil and acrylic on canvas. She has exhibited her paintings regularly at the Royal Society of British Artists where she has been awarded several prizes including The Winsor and Newton Prize.

People are an important part of Carole's work and she has not only undertaken portrait commissions, but also thinks that people add an important aspect to the composition and overall feeling of her paintings.

Her work shows her interest in the relationships and shapes that objects and people make together, their textures, and how colours change in relationship to each other

She regularly goes back to Yorkshire and enjoys depicting the beauty and wildness of the North Yorkshire Dales with its variation of light and shade.
